Simply put God is onmipresent i.e. he is everywhere. (Not in a pantheistic way.)He has revealed himself at various times and in various ways (Heb. 1:1).

Usually when one asks such a question what is really going on in the back of their mind is that if God would just show himself in some special way they would believe. God has and does make it known as to his whereabouts. There is no shortage of evidence. He does not however dance to man's musical demands. If you really want to know where God is "look" to Jesus. Jesus is the culmination of God's reveleation to us. Jesus is the visible declaration of God. He lived died and rose to be at the Father's right hand having made atonement for our sins. To see him is to see him in faith (since he no longer literally walks the earth but has risen). His word (the scripture) reveals him to us. His spirit takes us to him. Scripture is the best place to look for more answers.
Beware of the deceptive assumption that seeing is believing. Seeing is not always believing. There are those that saw him with their eyes yet did not believe "Ye have seen me and believe not" (Jn.6:36). Blessed are they that do not see him with their eyes yet believe. "Because you hace seen me you believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed" (Jn. 20:29).
